The 2025 Urawa Festival

May 12, 2025

On Saturday, May 10, a sports event for new students called the "Urawa Festival" was held at the Urawa-Kyoritsu Campus.

The Urawa Festival is planned and run by the Shiba Student Association to promote interaction among new students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. This year, 188 new first-year students participated. Each class created their own unique matching T-shirts and competed in a costume relay, dodgeball, large-rope jumping, and finally, a tail-snatching game. Unfortunately, due to rain this year, the event was held in the gymnasium, but the members of the student association creatively managed the event.

Competing for the championship, classes held strategy meetings and formed huddles, and the enthusiastic cheering created a lively atmosphere. Teachers were even "borrowed" for the scavenger hunt portion of the costume relay. Amid the lingering excitement, everyone gathered for a group photo with smiles on their faces at the end. It was a meaningful day that deepened the bonds among the students, who will support each other throughout their future student life.
