The 2023 Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Graduation Research Presentations, an event for fourth-year students to present the results of their graduation research, was held on Thursday, February 8, in the Multipurpose Hall of Building 1 on the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus.
The event was held in a poster presentation format, with posters showcasing the research results—the culmination of the fourth-year students' hard work—displayed throughout the venue. Students stood in front of their posters, explained their research to two assigned faculty members, and then engaged in a Q&A session to receive feedback. They also explained their work to other faculty members and held discussions about their research.
Since being assigned to their laboratories in the fall semester of their third year, fourth-year students in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences have dedicated a significant amount of time to their graduation research. While the goal of this research is to make new discoveries, results often do not go as planned. By addressing the new challenges that arise from unexpected outcomes, students hone their problem-solving skills. As this event was an opportunity to present the fruits of their long hours and considerable effort, every student, though appearing nervous, delivered their presentation with passion.
