Center Overview
In collaboration with industry, this center establishes an environment where faculty members and Keio students can utilize AI and programming as essential tools for academic research and industry-academia collaboration, regardless of their field of study, and researches methods for their application. Based on the idea that young people with flexible mindsets are more adept at using AI and programming, we provide a state-of-the-art AI and programming environment that allows Keio students to engage in various activities. By planning data science and business contests that require AI and programming in collaboration with industry, we aim to increase the number of participating Keio students, particularly those with strong AI and programming skills. Furthermore, we promote the use of AI and advanced programming in the Keio students' own research. At the same time, we open our doors to Juku faculty and researchers. Through in-depth discussions among Keio students, corporate members, and researchers, we will pioneer the cutting edge of utilizing the latest AI and advanced programming tools, while also feeding these methods back into basic research across Keio University.

Fiscal Year 2019 Business Plan
We will engage in the following activities based at the "AI and Advanced Programming Rooms" established at the Hiyoshi and Yagami Campuses. The "Hiyoshi AI and Advanced Programming Room" is an activity hub open to Keio students and faculty/staff from all undergraduate faculties. Here, we will hold study sessions covering a wide range of topics from programming to AI business, as well as various ideathons, hackathons, and AI/programming contests with the cooperation of industry. At the "Yagami AI and Advanced Programming Room," which is centered on students from the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Graduate School of Science and Technology, we will tackle high-level utilization of AI and programming for research and industrial applications, including holding contests. In addition, we will also work on preparations to expand this initiative to other campuses.
