2012 Action Plan
■ Continuing Activities from the Previous Fiscal Year: Background, Rationale, and Goals
In fiscal year 2012, in accordance with the contract with the European Commission, the center will continue to hold the Keio EU Study Group and EU Law Seminars (a total of seven sessions scheduled, starting from April 28), as well as special lectures (held as needed). The goal is to maintain and strengthen the EU research network among researchers from multiple academic fields, government officials, and businesspeople in Japan and Europe.
■ New Activity Goals and Content for 2012, and Implementation Background
The new activity goal for fiscal year 2012 is the further reinforcement of our network. Specific examples of the plans to achieve this are as follows:
A special lecture is scheduled to be given by Professor Antonina Bakardjieva Engelbrekt, Director of the Institute for European Law at Stockholm University (May 19).
A special lecture is scheduled to be given by Professor Miguel Maduro, former Advocate General at the European Court of Justice (November 8).
The background for this implementation is the need to further reinforce the network established by fiscal year 2011.
