※The Research Center on Structural Biochemistry for Life is switched from Start-up Center (SU) to Research Center on July 1, 2023.
In the midst of rapid technological advancements, we are now unlocking new possibilities in understanding complex structures of biomolecules. This progress contributes significantly to our grasp of life processes and biological reaction control. In particular, utilizing information on protein structures for drug development will realize personalized medicine and will also make it possible to treat diseases on an individual level. We thus propose a research center bridging medicine, pharmacy, and engineering and advance research on structural biochemistry for life in Keio.
