Creativity
Summary
As economies and societies mature, there is a growing trend worldwide to evaluate people's well-being not only in terms of GDP and income, but also in terms of wellbeing. In Japan, in particular, the challenge of balancing and improving both employee wellbeing and performance (e.g., productivity) has become a major issue in response to reforms in the way people work. By integrating systemic design approaches with behavioral design and service design, this study will develop design methods to enhance individual and organizational wellbeing through interventions in the systems surrounding employees. In particular, we will develop and validate the methodology from the perspective of strategic integration of basic psychological need support and system interventions.
