Summary

As economies and societies mature, there is a growing trend worldwide to evaluate people's happiness based not only on GDP and income, but also on wellbeing. Particularly in Japan, the challenge of balancing and improving employee wellbeing and performance (productivity, etc.) has become a major issue in response to the reform of work styles. This research will develop a new integrated design methodology to promote the fulfillment of individual and organizational wellbeing by effectively combining behavioral design, wellbeing design, and service design approaches.
