Summary

COVID-19 shows no signs of ending, and there is a call for the need to change the social structure, including the research environment at universities. In a sense, it can be said that COVID-19 has revealed the problems inherent in the society so far. We will reconsider the role of the university in the international community through the development of personal protection equipment and ventilators, which are emergency measures against COVID-19, and the release of evaluation data on mask performance, and we will establish a new Medtech research and human resource development environment.
