Security
Summary
The growth of China's national power follows its rapid, but long-term, economic development, and has changed the balance of power in the Asia/West Pacific region where Japan is located. This change is not limited to this region only, but extends worldwide, with a huge impact on the international order. This project focuses on regional systems of governance and regional security systems that attempt to respond to these changes and adapt to them. The aim of the project is to identify how these two systems have worked to date, to outline their present state, and speculate on their future direction.
