1. Overview
This grant subsidizes the cost of overseas travel for young researchers who plan to travel abroad to give lectures or research presentations at international academic societies or conferences with significant international impact.
However, those who received this grant in the previous fiscal year are not eligible to reapply.
2. Purpose
(1) To enhance the international outreach of Keio University based on outstanding research achievements, and to raise the university's international reputation in research and education as measured by citations, reputation, and other metrics.
(2) To contribute to the world and enhance our international reputation by leveraging the unique strengths of Keio University while strengthening collaboration with the international academic community.
(3) Based on the above objectives, priority will be given to subsidizing the presentation of internationally co-authored papers.
3. Eligibility
(1) Directors, Vice-Directors, institute members, and visiting researchers affiliated with KGRI
(2) KGRI research project members
(3) Full-time faculty members of this university (Juku) aged 35 or younger
4. Grant Amount
The grant subsidizes economy class airfare, accommodation, and a daily allowance equivalent, among the overseas travel expenses stipulated by the overseas travel expense standards of the "Regulations Regarding Use of Public Funds."
(The maximum grant amount for travel to Europe and the Americas is 300,000 yen)
5. Application Method
Please fill out the designated application form, obtain approval from the dean of your faculty, the dean of your graduate school, or the director of your research center/institute, and submit it to the KGRI desk at the Office of Research Development and Sponsored Projects.
Those who received the grant in the previous fiscal year and those who have received the grant in the past but have not submitted a report (in any format) are not eligible to apply.

(2) Please attach a copy of the paper acceptance notification or letter of invitation, and a copy of the program showing the applicant's name.
(In the attached documents, please clearly indicate the sections showing the applicant's name, the date and time of the conference, the venue, etc.)
(3) After the grant is approved, please submit the necessary documents for overseas travel as specified in the Public Funds Manual.

7. Review
(1) Review Method
Applications will be reviewed by the KGRI Review Committee, which will decide whether to accept or reject them.
(2) Notification of Review Results
Applicants will be notified of the results.
