The KGRI Center succeeded the functions of the ""Leading Research Center,"" which was established to create new forms of research hubs (or education and research hubs) by interdisciplinarily connecting and integrating various research fields within the university. It aims to revitalize and accelerate research activities by flexibly managing the establishment, revision, operation, and personnel of research hubs (centers) as university-wide organizations spanning faculties and graduate schools.
