[Propose]

The shadow of the Attention Economy is overtaking the speech space. In January 2022, we issued a joint proposal,Toward a Wholesome Platform for Speech: Digital Diet Declaration"(ver.1.0)".pdf, which introduced the concept of "informational health" as a countermeasure against the Attention Economy. In May 2023, a joint proposal entitled "Toward a Wholesome Platform for Speech ver. 2.0 - Informational Health, Toward Implementation" was released, making the concept of "informational health" more inclusive and outlining concrete initiatives for the implementation of "informational health".

Now, two years after the launch of the "Informational Health" project, research on "informational health" and efforts by various companies are increasing at an accelerated pace. In this symposium, we would like to share with you the challenges of the contemporary discourse space and the current state of "informational health" through introductions of research and other studies, lectures, and panel discussions. We also hope to promote the implementation of "informational health" through interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary discussions by inviting researchers from various fields and stakeholders in the discourse space, and to provide an opportunity to create a wholesome speech space by comprehensive knowledge.
