While Keio University promotes medical-engineering collaboration between its School of Medicine and Faculty of Science and Technology, the momentum for such initiatives is significantly greater in Grenoble. Therefore, to accelerate future international research collaboration, it is necessary to conclude a comprehensive MoU between Keio University as a whole and the Grenoble research institutions. Considering that the MoU signed on September 22, 2014, has a five-year term, the conclusion of a new comprehensive MoU is anticipated early next year. Furthermore, as the Embassy of France in Japan desires a strong relationship with Keio University, close tripartite collaboration among Keio University, the Grenoble research institutions, and the Embassy of France in Japan will be essential going forward.
