The Brookings Institution: Washington, D.C. (USA), March 2018
On the morning of March 7, a research caravan was held at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Presentations were made by Yoshihide Soeya (Professor, Faculty of Law), Toshihiro Nakayama (Professor, Faculty of Policy Management), Isao Miyaoka (Professor, Faculty of Law), and Michito Tsuruoka (Associate Professor, Faculty of Policy Management).
Mireya Solís, the Japan Studies Chair at the Brookings Institution, was joined by other experts from both inside and outside the institution to participate in the discussion. The discussion was held as a private, off-the-record roundtable.
They agreed to consider holding the next event as a public symposium.
