Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Veranópolis, the Longevity Village of Brazil: Porto Alegre and Veranópolis (Brazil) August 2022

Masato Yasui (Director, KGRI; Professor, School of Medicine) and Jin Nakahara (Vice Director, KGRI; Professor, School of Medicine) visited the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) on August 4 and Veranópolis, the Longevity Village of Brazil, on August 5.

On August 4, after a courtesy visit to Rector Evilázio Francisco Borges Teixeira at PUCRS, they toured the TECNOPUC Science and Technology Park, the Brain Institute (InsCer), and the Geriatric and Gerontology Institute (IGG), guided by Professor Douglas Kazutoshi Sato.

On August 5, guided by Professor Hideyuki Emilio Moriguchi of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, they visited Veranópolis, the Longevity Village of Brazil. After a courtesy visit to Mayor Waldemar De Carli, they toured the city's Instituto Moriguchi, where longevity research is conducted.
