Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul and Veranopolis, the city of longevity: Porto Alegre and Veranopolis (Brazil) August 2022
Professor Masato Yasui (KGRI Director & Professor, School of Medicine), and Professor Jin Nakahara (KGRI Deputy Director & Professor, School of Medicine) visited the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul on August 4 and Veranopolis, the city of longevity, on August 5.
on August 4, Keio delegates met with President Evilázio Francisco Borges Teixeira at PUCRS and visited the TECNOPUC, InsCer and IGG guided by Professor Douglas Kazutoshi Sato, the Director of IGG.
On August 5, guided by Professor Hideyuki Emilio Moriguchi (Professor at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul), Keio delegates visited Veranopolis, well-known as the city of longevity. After meeting City Mayor Waldemar De Carli, the group also paid a field visit to the Instituto Moriguchi to understand and exchange about the research projects on longevity.
