Risa Takeeda, a second-year student at the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, requested the Fujisawa City Welfare Department's Elderly Support Division to plan a "Dementia Supporter Training Course," which was held on December 2, 2025, at the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care Building. A total of 22 people, including first- and second-year students and faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, participated.

The lecturer was Ms. Ayako Kobayashi (Director of the Department of Nursing at Shonan Hospital, Hasegawa Medical Corporation), a "Caravan Mate" introduced by Fujisawa City, and three nurses and staff members from Shonan Hospital also provided support.

Participants were able to learn more in addition to what they had learned about dementia in class, and were able to reflect on and gain a deeper understanding of communication with people with dementia experienced during their practical training.
