The Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care holds the "Pinning Ceremony" as an opportunity for Keio students to reflect on their futures and become leaders in nursing and medical care with a broad perspective. The Pinning Ceremony, which began in 2014, marked its 11th anniversary this year. On July 31, 2025, 114 third-year students attended the ceremony at the Kitasato Auditorium on the Shinanomachi Campus.

On the day of the event, the Juku-ka was sung to the piano accompaniment of third-year student Kaho Susaki, renewing the students' aspirations and awareness as Keio students.

During the pin badge presentation, Dean Nozue and Assistant Dean Nagata handed a pin badge to each student. After receiving their pins, the Keio students recited the 23rd Class Statement—a compilation of each student's personal determination—and made a powerful declaration.

The Pinning Ceremony is a ceremony created jointly by students and faculty. Third-year student committee members (led by Shoko Hitomi) demonstrated leadership in many areas, including managing the ceremony proceedings, addressing the students, and drafting the statement, bringing the entire student body together. Additionally, second-year students supported the proceedings as volunteers.

With the inspiration of the Pinning Ceremony in their hearts, the third-year students of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care have taken a new step toward nursing and medical care. We hope you will continue to watch over their growth with anticipation.
