The Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care has been holding the Pinning Ceremony since the 2014 academic year, and this year marks the third time. The ceremony is held for 113 second-year students before they begin their full-scale clinical training, providing them with an opportunity to think about their future and encouraging them to become leaders in nursing and medical care with a broad perspective.

On the day of the ceremony, following the opening address by Dean Hiroko Komatsu of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, words of encouragement were offered by distinguished guests: Vice-President Jiro Kokuryo; Dean Yoshikazu Sugimoto of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dean Hideyuki Okano of the School of Medicine; and Professor Ardith Doorenbos of the University of Washington School of Nursing. Mikiko Matsuda, Director of the Department of Nursing at Keio University Hospital, also gave a congratulatory address.

Many parents and guardians also attended to witness the students' commitment to their future. We are grateful to everyone who participated. With the inspiration of the Pinning Ceremony in their hearts, the students will take a new step into the world of nursing and medical care.
