Research and Activity Presentations, and Research Paper Presentations by Students from the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care

The Keio University SFC Open Research Forum (ORF) was held over two days on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at Roppongi Midtown.

Every year, the Keio SFC Academic Society provides opportunities for SFC students to present their research, activities, and research papers at ORF. Many students from the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care also participated, presenting their regular activities and research.

Student Association for Policy of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care Wins First Place in the Poster Division Excellence Award

In the SFC student research and activity presentations, the project "As Many Choices as There Are Births: The Path to a Birth That's Right for You" by the Student Association for Policy of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care (SAPnmc) won first place in the Poster Division Excellence Award.

Kobayashi Kana, a second-year student in the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care and the 14th-term representative of SAPnmc, expressed her joy at receiving the award, stating, "We investigated and reported on what knowledge and information expectant mothers and their families need to make choices that align with their individual values and lifestyles. Based on these results, we are planning to develop an app to convey information in an easy-to-understand way. We are grateful to the many people who viewed our poster presentation at ORF. We will take this award as encouragement to work even harder on our research."

"Stuffed Animal Hospital" Takes Second Place in the Poster Division Excellence Award

In addition, "Stuffed Animal Hospital," an activity by students from the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, the School of Medicine, and the Faculty of Pharmacy, also won second place in the Poster Division Excellence Award. The representative, Saito Takafumi, a second-year student at the School of Medicine, expressed his joy as follows: "The Stuffed Animal Hospital operates with the goal of 'helping children not be afraid of hospitals and to live healthy lives.' This year, we reviewed our past activities and considered areas for improvement. We are very honored to receive such an award."
