To date, the Keio University Nursing 100th Anniversary Compilation Committee has digitized two volumes from 1938 (Showa 13) and 1942 (Showa 17, or 2602 in the imperial year) as valuable materials in the history of Keio Nursing (Photo 1). The Kobaikai Room stores 24 pre-war and post-war albums, including the 5th graduation anniversary album from 1925 (Taisho 14). While each is a valuable material that evokes a sense of history, unfortunately, many are deteriorating. In the future, we plan to consider preservation methods and storage locations to pass these materials on to the next generation, and we will also proceed with digitization so that Kobaikai members can view them when needed.
Additionally, in addition to books and photographs related to Keio Nursing, we are also collecting items such as white coats and nursing equipment (practice tools) that have changed over time, and we are planning an exhibition of these items.
Therefore, we ask for your donation of any historical materials related to Keio Nursing that you may have in your possession. Even items you might think are insignificant can become important materials that convey a crucial aspect of Keio Nursing's history to future generations. We sincerely ask for your cooperation.
