Joint Laos Training Program for the Three Medical FacultiesWins Silver Award for Best Poster at ATBH VI
Three poster presentations were made about the activities of the "Asia Primary Health Care Team Activity Program (Laos Training)," a 2011 open-application program of the Keio University 150th Anniversary Commemorative Future-Leading Fund (Representative: Tomoko Koike, Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care), at All Together Better Health VI (ATBH VI), the 6 th international conference for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice, held in Kobe from October 5 to 8.
Of these, the poster presentation by one student group (Presenter: Mariko Kondo, 3rd-year student, School of Medicine) won the Silver Award for Best Poster.
ATBH VI is an international conference on "team-based medicine" and "team-based care." Approximately 500 experts in fields such as medicine and social work from around the world participated.
Many people, including Mr. Barr, Chair of the Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education (CAIPE) in the UK, and Mr. Dedik, Team Leader for Human Resources for Health at the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office, stopped in front of each poster and listened to the students' presentations on the outcomes of the joint training program in Laos conducted by the School of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, and Faculty of Pharmacy.
