The Keio University School of Medicine will once again host the "Keio Healthcare Venture Contest," Japan's first business contest organized by a medical school!
We aim to be a business contest that "nurtures" participants through seminars, mentoring, and judging by medical and business experts from both within and outside Keio University.
Past participants have gone on to achieve various track records, such as securing funding, starting joint research with Keio University Hospital, and obtaining medical device approvals.
The winning team in the Professional Category will receive a prize of 1 million yen!
The winning team in the Student Business Challenge Category will receive a prize of 300,000 yen!
The winning team in the Student Idea Category will receive a prize of 100,000 yen!
In addition, we have prepared several luxurious corporate awards.
Every year, people from various backgrounds participate.

【Background】
The Keio Healthcare Venture Contest marks its 10th anniversary this year.
From applicants aiming for commercialization to those seeking funding for business expansion,
a total of 1,004 teams have entered over the past nine years.
Until the 7th contest, judging was conducted in two categories: Student and Professional. However, in light of the increasing expertise in applicants' business plans, judging has been conducted by business sector since fiscal year 2023.
Furthermore, to commemorate the 10th contest and further enhance the concept of a "nurturing" venture contest, the Student category will be divided into two categories: the "Business Challenge Category" and the "Idea Category."
Judging for the Professional Category will be divided into three leagues: the "Wellness League," the "Drug Discovery/SaMD League," and the "Healthcare System League." For each league, a league winner will be determined through a document screening, league preliminaries, and league finals. Subsequently, an overall grand prize winner across all leagues will be decided at the Final Presentation.
Judging for the Student Category will be divided into two categories: the "Business Challenge Category" and the "Idea Category." For each category, a document screening and first-round judging will be held, followed by the determination of winners for each category at the Final Presentation.
