Effective November 1, 2024, the rate for indirect costs for external research funds at the Shinanomachi Campus will be changed.
e.g., sponsored research funds, joint research funds (including those for joint research chairs), commissioned service fees, technical guidance fees,
academic consulting fees, and costs for investigator-initiated trials.
Rate
[Current] Equivalent to 18% of the amount received
[New] 30% or more of direct costs
Effective Date
Applicable to new contracts with an execution date on or after November 1, 2024.
Please note that regarding this change, for indirect costs related to research contracts under negotiation as of October 31, 2024, please feel free to consult with our university's contract representative.
