[Deadline Extended] The 9th Keio Healthcare Venture Contest Hosted by Keio University School of Medicine Is Now Accepting Business Plan Submissions! (Deadline: August 25)

The Keio University School of Medicine will be holding the "Keio Healthcare Venture Contest," Japan's first business contest hosted by a school of medicine, again this year!

We aim to create a business contest that "nurtures" participants through seminars, mentoring, and judging sessions with medical and business experts from both inside and outside Keio University.

Past participants have gone on to achieve various track records, including fundraising, launching joint research with Keio University Hospital, and obtaining medical device approval.

The winning team in the Working Professional Division of the Final Judging Session will receive a cash prize of 1 million yen!

The winning team in the Student Division will receive a cash prize of 300,000 yen!

In addition, several prestigious corporate awards are also available.

Every year, we have participants from a wide variety of backgrounds.

[Keio School of Medicine] Keio Healthcare Venture Contest

[Background]

The Keio Healthcare Venture Contest is now in its ninth year.

From applicants aiming for commercialization to those seeking funding for business expansion,

a total of 844 teams have entered over the past eight years.

Until the 7th contest, the judging was conducted in two divisions: the Student Division and the Working Professional Division. However, given the increasing specialization of business plans in recent years, we shifted to judging by business area starting last year.

The judging will be conducted in three leagues: the "Wellness League," the "Drug Discovery & SaMD League," and the "Healthcare System League."

For each league, a league champion will be determined through a process of document screening, league preliminaries, and a league final. Afterward, an overall grand champion will be decided across all leagues at the Final Judging Session.

Please note that applications from the Student Division will be judged only within the Student League and will not undergo judging by business area.

• Saturday, October 12, 2024 (PM): League Finals / Student Division 2nd Preliminary Round (Wellness League, Student Division) @ Tokyo

• Sunday, October 13, 2024 (PM): League Finals (Drug Discovery & SaMD League, Healthcare System League) @ Tokyo

• Sunday, November 10, 2024 (PM): Mentoring @ Keio University School of Medicine, Shinanomachi Campus

(Hearings on highly specialized topics will be conducted separately via Zoom in November)

• Sunday, December 15, 2024 (PM): Final Judging Session @ Hills House, 33rd-34th Floor, Mori JP Tower, Azabudai Hills
