Senior Lecturer Toshiki Takeuchi of the Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine, has received the 6th Japan Medical Research and Development Grand Prize (AMED President's Award). This award recognizes his outstanding achievements in genomic analysis research.

This award has been presented since fiscal year 2017 to honor cases that have made significant contributions to promoting research and development in the medical field for the advancement of medicine not only in Japan but also around the world. The purpose of the award is to deepen public interest and understanding and to provide greater incentives for researchers.
