We are now accepting nominations for candidates for the Sanshikai Award (Kitasato Award and Kitajima Award), to be presented at the Kitasato Commemorative Ceremony, as detailed below.
We would appreciate it if you would recommend any eligible candidates.
Details
1. Nomination Conditions
This award is the highest academic award in the School of Medicine. Desirable candidates are those who have achieved internationally recognized research accomplishments, are expected to make further developments and contributions in the future, and are capable of leading the next generation.
・Kitasato Award: For outstanding achievements in basic research and translational research for clinical application.
・Kitajima Award: For outstanding achievements in clinical medicine and clinical research.

3. Candidate Eligibility
Sanshikai members (regardless of their affiliation with the university)
4. Required Documents
(1) Letter of Nomination ( Designated Form.zip , A3 size)
(2) Curriculum Vitae (CV) ( Designated Form.zip , with photo attached, A3 size)
(3) List of Achievements (any format, double-sided printing)
・Please select achievements relevant to the research for which the award is being considered.
・Do not omit co-authors; list the names of all authors.
・Conference presentations may be included, but only special lectures and symposia.
(4) Reprints of papers (representative papers related to the research topic; no more than 5).
5. Number of Copies to Submit
One original and 12 copies (of all required documents)
*Please assemble one set of documents in the order of (1) to (4), and ensure the copies are arranged in the same format.
6. Submission Deadline
Must be received by Wednesday, May 12, 2021 (Submissions by mail or in person will be accepted until 5:00 p.m.).
7. Award Ceremony
The date of the award ceremony has been changed to Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Please note that attendance at the award ceremony is mandatory for recipients.
*Due to the impact of COVID-19, the Kitasato Commemorative Ceremony will not be held. Only the award ceremony and a commemorative photo session will take place.
