1. Donations via Bequests

In recent years, interest in wills has been increasing, and more people are creating wills as a way to ensure their wishes are realized in the future. For those who wish to contribute to society by donating a portion of their built-up assets to Keio University, Keio University has established a "Donation System via Bequests" in partnership with trust banks.

2. Tax Incentives

・Inheritance tax is exempt for property bequeathed to Keio University.

・If inherited property is donated to Keio University, the donation will be excluded from the taxable amount of inheritance tax and will be tax-exempt, provided it is reported within the inheritance tax filing deadline (within 10 months from the day after the passing). Since it takes about two months for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to issue the "Certificate of Corporation Exempt from Inheritance Tax," please consult with us as early as possible.
