By fostering diverse human resources with different backgrounds, we aim to achieve the "realization of integrated basic and clinical medical sciences and medical care," in addition to the development of respective scientific fields.

We foster researchers capable of conducting highly original basic research in fields related to basic and clinical medical sciences, as well as research leading to the elucidation of disease mechanisms and the development of treatments for intractable diseases.

We foster individuals capable of conducting excellent clinical research leading to advanced medical care and designing its protocols, as well as those aiming to become cross-disciplinary clinical cancer specialists corresponding to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Cancer Professional Program.
