Independent Organizations

At the School of Medicine, 29 cultural organizations are actively engaged in various activities. Some organizations participate in medical cooperation activities in medically underserved areas of Africa and South America to promote international exchange, while others take advantage of their proximity to the university hospital and research laboratories. Long-standing organizations and newly established groups formed by volunteers work hard together toward their respective goals.

African Medicine Society

This society operates out of an elementary school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the summer, where members learn about international health on-site.

Psychiatry Research Society

We invite psychiatry professors and hold monthly study sessions where students present on interesting topics in psychiatry.

Medical Affairs Promotion Society

The society aims to contribute broadly to the promotion of medical affairs through regional medical and welfare activities as well as monthly study sessions.

Life Science Research Society

We hold seminars and other events where undergraduate students take the lead in discussing and deepening their understanding of life sciences.

Wellness Research Society

We study the relationship between sports and health through medical sciences.

Oriental Medicine Research Society

In collaboration with the Center for Kampo Medicine, we study from our undergraduate years to become doctors who can utilize Kampo medicine in clinical settings.

English Society

The English Society primarily conducts CRE (Clinical Reasoning Exercise) activities in English on Saturday mornings.

Keio-Yonsei Scientific Flow

An exchange organization with Yonsei University in South Korea, whose main activity is holding forums twice a year. We visit Seoul in the winter.

ACLS Popularizing Promoting Association

An organization consisting of students from the School of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, and Faculty of Pharmacy, aimed at popularizing emergency life-saving procedures for healthcare professionals.

Japan-China Medical Student Exchange Association

We visit medical universities and hospitals in China and other Asian countries to interact with local medical students and learn about local medical sciences.

Orchestra

In addition to a regular concert in October, this orchestra performs at concerts at Keio Hospital and at School of Medicine ceremonies.

Teddy Bear Hospital

We conduct public health activities related to pediatric health for children of various ages.

Kido (Board Games) Club

The Kido Club focuses on matches to improve skills in Shogi and Go, aiming to win the East Japan Medical Student Go and Shogi Tournament.

Matching Strategy Committee

We collect information related to residency matching and work toward the goal of having every student in the grade match with their desired training hospital.

Public Health Research Society

Through monthly meetings in Shinanomachi, we undertake initiatives to promote health in medically underserved areas of Hokkaido.

National Examination for Medical Practitioners Strategy Committee

We work toward the goal of having all students pass the National Examination for Medical Practitioners.

International Medical Student Association

With the goal of "experiencing the origins of medicine," we conduct international medical activities in South America every year during summer vacation.

Keio Sado Society

We practice and hold study sessions for tea ceremony at the Shinanomachi Campus. We aim to cultivate a rich heart by touching the spirit of Wabi-Sabi.

Photography Club

An organization where people who enjoy photography as a hobby gather.

Yotsuya Student Council

"Leading Keio University." As an organization under the All Keio Student Council, we support the lives of Keio students.

Newspaper Research Society

We report on and write about various events and club activities for the Keio University School of Medicine Newspaper published by Sanshikai.

Yotsuya Festival Executive Committee

It's not just fun. It's one of a kind. We propose an academic and interesting school festival to Shinanomachi.

School of Medicine Graduation Committee

This committee is an organization to ensure the smooth graduation of medical students. We organize farewell parties and select commemorative gifts for junior students.
