Keio University University School of Medicine Athletic Association

School of Medicine Athletic Association

The School of Medicine Athletic Association is an organization to which over 90 percent of School of Medicine students belong, composed of 24 athletic associations. With the aim of developing physical strength, mental fortitude, and perseverance, the entire club works together toward a common goal, allowing students to build relationships of trust that transcend academic years. This sense of accomplishment and these bonds continue after graduation, with many alumni supporting the development of younger members. In particular, the club has consistently achieved excellent results at the East Japan Medical Students' General Athletic Meet (Higashi-Itai), the largest national competition for School of Medicine students, winning the overall championship in the 2013 and 2014 academic years. While balancing academics and club activities is by no means easy, the fulfilling student life of daily dedication is one of the distinctive features of the School of Medicine at Keio University University.
