In April 2017, the Keio University Law School established the Master of Laws (LL.M) in Global Legal Practice program alongside its existing Juris Doctor (J.D.) program. As a program offered by a professional graduate school affiliated with a law school, it is the first of its kind in Japan. It is possible to obtain a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Global Legal Practice degree in one year with English as the language of instruction. This program aims to train legal professionals, as well as legal staff for global companies and international organizations, to work in the global field. It primarily accepts lawyers and corporate legal professionals who wish to improve their practical skills in English, international students interested in Japan and Asia, and also opens its doors to university graduates who hope to work for international organizations in the future.

Furthermore, we promote partnerships with countries in the Pacific Rim, such as the United States, Asia, and Australia, and offer short-term overseas training, a six-month study abroad program, and a double degree program with the University of Washington (Seattle) to support the establishment of overseas hubs and networks.
