Japan Patent Attorney Association (JPAA) and Keio University Law School will host a three-day patent Law and Practice Institute during the holiday week (so-called Golden Week). The classes offered during the Institute are incorporated in the Keio LLM curriculum as "Seminar (Comparative Patent Case Law and Litigation)". All courses are offered in English except for the tutorial offered between 13:30 and 15:00. Thirty JPAA members (Japanese patent attorneys and in-house counsels), four JPO examiners and five judges from IP sections of Tokyo District Court and IP High Court will participate in the Institute. Keio students will have opportunities to network with speakers and participants and develop communication skills at social events during lunch and farewell party where food and drinks will be provided. If you have any questions about the Institute, please email Prof. Toshiko Takenaka.
