"Symposium: Contemporary Issues in Corporate Reorganization—From the Perspective of a Comparison of Japanese and Chinese Civil and Commercial Law"

On March 4, the Law School, in co-sponsorship with the Faculty of Law, will host a symposium as detailed below, titled "Contemporary Issues in Corporate Reorganization—From the Perspective of a Comparison of Japanese and Chinese Civil and Commercial Law," inviting three professors from Tsinghua University in China.

The purpose of this symposium is to achieve academic results from a comparative law perspective regarding the rapidly developing civil and commercial laws in both Japan and China. Furthermore, we hope this will serve as an opportunity to foster ongoing academic exchange between the Juku Faculty of Law and Law School and Tsinghua University.

The visiting scholars, Professor Wang Baoshu of Tsinghua University (a leading figure in China's civil law academia) and Professor Zhu Ciwen of the same university (a leading figure in China's commercial law academia), hold important positions in the Chinese legal academic world. Additionally, Lecturer Zhu Daming, also from Tsinghua University, is an up-and-coming commercial law scholar who obtained his PhD in Law from Hitotsubashi University and is well-versed in the legal affairs of both Japan and China.

Through this symposium featuring these three professors, we hope that Keio University can play a part in the academic legal exchange between Japan and China.

We cordially invite all interested faculty members and students to attend.
