Since its establishment, Keio University Law School has provided legal professional training with "internationalization" as one of its core principles. As the Law School will soon celebrate its 10th anniversary, and looking toward further advancement in the next decade in an increasingly globalized world, we aim to begin training "global legal professionals" who can actively participate in the formation and operation of the global legal order. Specifically, we are currently planning key initiatives such as: (1) promoting international exchange with other Asian countries, (2) enhancing overseas dispatch programs for outstanding current and former students (especially short-term dispatches for graduates utilizing the "gap term"—the period between the bar examination and the start of legal apprenticeship), and (3) promoting on-campus globalization.
Therefore, starting this academic year, as part of initiative (3), we have decided to create an opportunity for interaction between international students and current students of the Law School. The date, time, and location are as follows. We encourage all current students to participate. Those who wish to attend are kindly requested to register at the Office of Student Services counter for the Law School.
