In the last ordinary session of the Diet, the Administrative Appeal Act (which fully amends the current act), the Act on the Arrangement of Related Acts for the Enforcement of the Administrative Appeal Act, and the Act to Partially Amend the Administrative Procedure Act were enacted. As a result, a full-scale revision of the Administrative Appeal System will be implemented for the first time in 52 years. The new Administrative Appeal Act and the Arrangement Act are expected to come into effect in April 2016, while the Administrative Procedure Act is set to be enforced on April 1, 2015.

Therefore, on Friday, August 1, during the 2nd period (10:45 AM–12:15 PM) in classrooms 2B41-2B42, we will hold a lecture to introduce the overall picture of the aforementioned revisions. This reform of the Administrative Appeal System is expected to have a certain impact on the theoretical framework of administrative law, and it is also considered a factor that will open up new areas of activity for legal professionals. We encourage your active participation.
