We are planning to hold a seminar for those considering a career as in-house counsel, as detailed below.

Event Name: Seminar for Successful Bar Examination Candidates Aspiring to Become In-house Counsel
– The Reality of Corporate Legal Affairs and the Role of In-house Counsel – (tentative title)
(1) Date and Time: Wednesday, October 1, 2014, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6:00 p.m.)
(2) Venue: Creo, 2nd floor, Bengoshi Kaikan (inside Bengoshi Kaikan, 1-1-3 Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku)
(3) Target Audience: Primarily successful candidates of the 2014 bar examination (prospective 68th legal apprentices)
(4) Lecturers: Corporate legal affairs representatives from manufacturing, finance, trading companies,
and other industries are expected to be recommended by Keiei Hoyukai and the Japan In-house Lawyers Association (JILA).
(5) Content: The event will feature a keynote speech on in-house counsel in general, lectures by each speaker on the following
themes, and a Q&A session with the audience.
① The position, department, job duties, etc., of in-house counsel at each company
② Information to help legal apprentices prepare for job hunting, including the type of personnel and ideal lawyer that each company
is looking for, hiring plans, working conditions, etc.
③ The characteristics, rewarding aspects, and interesting points of corporate legal affairs in each industry
