Japan Association of Environmental Law and Policy Symposium for Law School Graduates
"Bridging Theory and Practice: Toward the Resolution of Nuclear Damage Compensation Disputes"
Purpose: As part of the mission of the Japan Association of Environmental Law and Policy to advance environmental law and policy, this symposium aims to provide a forum for law school graduates, prospective legal apprentices, and association members to jointly recognize the realities and importance of issues related to environmental law and to discuss specific challenges.
Overview: This symposium will address the urgent issue of nuclear damage compensation disputes, examining it from various perspectives to work toward a resolution. Aiming to bridge academic theory and legal practice, the event will begin with a report by a law school graduate, followed by presentations and a dialogue with practitioners and researchers. We expect that a Q&A session with the audience will further deepen the discussion.
