Content of the Public Prosecutor Apprenticeship and How to Draft Documents

—Guidance on the Public Prosecutor Apprenticeship by Current Instructors from the Legal Training and Research Institute—

1. Date & Time: Sunday, June 17, 2012, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM

2. Location: Classroom 2B42, South Building, Mita Campus

3. Speakers: Approximately 5 public prosecutor instructors from the Legal Training and Research Institute

4. Content: Case record review (approx. 30 min.) / Explanatory lecture (approx. 1 hour) / Explanation of the practical public prosecutor apprenticeship, the duties of a public prosecutor, etc.

(approx. 1.5 hours, including a Q&A session)

5. Eligibility: Those who have finished taking the new bar examination

* Open to all (no prior registration is required).

* This is a valuable opportunity to hear directly from and ask questions to public prosecutor instructors from the Legal Training and Research Institute about topics such as case record review and its explanation, how to conduct the practical apprenticeship, the content of the public prosecutor apprenticeship, and the specific duties and scope of work of a public prosecutor. The session is expected to be practical and ideal for boosting motivation for the practical apprenticeship that begins immediately after passing the exam. We encourage everyone to attend, regardless of whether you aspire to become a public prosecutor.

* A social gathering is scheduled to be held after the session, with the participation of the public prosecutor instructors and newly appointed public prosecutors who are alumni of this law school. (Fee: approx. 3,000 yen).
