Every fiscal year, the Agency for Cultural Affairs presents the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Prize and the New Artist Prize to individuals who have achieved outstanding results or opened up new frontiers in various fields of art, both domestically and internationally. Recently, Professor Atsushi Oide of the Faculty of Law received the FY2025 Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Prize (Criticism) for his work "Metaphysics of Margin: Paul Claudel and Japanese Thought."
