December 18 is celebrated annually as "World Arabic Language Day" to commemorate the adoption of Arabic as an official language of the United Nations on that day in 1973.
To mark this occasion, Keio University will also celebrate "World Arabic Language Day 2023" with Keio students who are studying or are interested in the Arabic language through lectures, performances, a speech contest, and other events.
