In response to the 2016 EU Trade Secrets Directive, Germany enacted a new Trade Secret Protection Act this year, which came into force on April 26, 2019.
We are pleased to welcome Professor Ann, a leading authority on German patent and trade secret law, again this year to give a lecture on the protection of trade secrets in Germany since the new law's enactment.

On 26 April 2019, the new Trade Secrets Protection Act (Gesetz zum Schutz von Geschäftsgeheimnissen, GeschGehG) came into force in Germany. The Act implements the EU Trade Secrets Directive of 2016.
Keio University welcomes Prof. Ann, one of the leading German law researchers of Patent and Trade Secrets to our campus again this year to speak about trade secrets protection in Germany since the enactment of the new legislation.
