An academic exchange symposium between the Faculty of Law and Saarland University (Universität des Saarlandes) was held in Saarbrücken, Germany, from June 5 to 6, 2018. Participants from the Faculty of Law were Professor Philipp Osten (International Criminal Law), Professor Taro Mizuizu (Civil Law), and Professor Takuma Sato (Criminal Law).
The Faculty of Law and Saarland University have regularly engaged in academic exchange for over 30 years (the languages used are German or English, with no interpretation). This time, under the common theme of "Legal Issues in the Risk Society," presentations and discussions were held from various perspectives. Further development of the exchange is expected in the future.
