Professor Werner Sollors Special Lecture: "The Challenges and Issues of Diversity"

A lecture by Professor Werner Sollors (Harvard/NYU Abu Dhabi), known for his research on multilingual American literature, ethnicity theory, and innovative histories of American literature, was held at the Mita Campus on May 4.

In the 21st-century United States, while multiculturalism has become widespread since the 1980s, criticism of identity politics has erupted and social disparities continue to widen. He gave a stimulating lecture on the challenges of diversity this superpower faces and its search for new principles of integration, which was followed by a lively question-and-answer session with the audience.
