A workshop was held at the Mita Campus on Saturday, March 21, 2015, with Professor John Carey (Dean of the Department of Political Science, Dartmouth College), who is renowned for his research on electoral systems and parliamentary politics. Professor Carey's invitation to Tokyo was supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's (MEXT) "Top Global University Project." At the workshop, moderated by Associate Professor Yusaku Horiuchi of Dartmouth College, Professor Carey reported on his recent research, and young political science researchers active in Japan also gave research presentations.
