October 28, 2014
On Tuesday, October 21, and Friday, October 24, 2014, the Fall 2014 Lecture Series on Brazilian Legal Practice was held based on the academic exchange agreement between the Keio University Faculty of Law and the University of São Paulo Faculty of Law.
The first lecture by Professor Leopoldo Pagotto, originally scheduled for October 14, was canceled due to Typhoon Vongfong (No. 19). However, thanks to the cooperation of commentator Professor Jiro Tamura of the Faculty of Law (Antitrust Law) and students from his seminar, it was successfully rescheduled and held on the 24th.
The second lecture, given by Professor Masato Ninomiya, followed opening remarks by Dean Hiroshi Oishi of the Faculty of Law. Professor Masao Ikeda of the Faculty of Law served as the moderator, and Professor Megumi Naito of the Faculty of Law (Labor Law) served as the commentator. The venue was filled to capacity, and the event concluded as a great success.
