I started working as a media personality right around the time I entered university. I planned to get a job after graduation, so I made sure to attend all my classes to balance my studies and work. I really enjoyed my university life. In my first and second years, there were many required courses, which gave me plenty of opportunities to see my friends. I joined a seminar in my third year. Around that time, I was very busy with my work as a media personality, serving as the MC for a sports program, but my professors and fellow seminar students supported me. I am filled with gratitude for everyone.
Currently, I work as an announcer for TBS Television. I take on various challenges, such as doing food reports, hosting variety shows, and reporting for live broadcasts. Since April 2022, I have been leading a fulfilling life as an announcer, including being appointed as the main anchor for a late-night sports program.
What I gained at university was, without a doubt, my friends. The close friends I have now are all people I met at university. When I talk about my work-related concerns, being with people who knew me back then allows me to return to the person I was 'in those days.' Even during my job search, the 'Keio' network helped me a great deal.
In university life, you can manage your own time. You can study what you love, eat meals together, go on trips, and challenge yourself with new things. It was only after I started working that I realized those experiences and memories held a value that extended far beyond that moment. For all of you who are about to become university students, I'm sure you will have similar encounters. Do your best. I'm cheering for you!
