Scope of Information Provision to Alumni Associations and Mita-kai
Upon review of applications from the executive members (multiple) of alumni associations and Mita-kai, the following information will be provided.
For requests for information from various Mita-kai, class reunions, and seminar alumni associations:
→ Only alumni who have given ""consent to provide information"" and ""consent to send mail.""
For requests for cooperation with surveys for research and educational activities:
→ Only alumni who have given ""consent to provide information"" and ""consent to send mail.""
For Keio Card eligibility verification and sending of invitation letters from Keio Gijuku Academic Services Inc.:
→ Only alumni who have given ""consent to provide information"" and ""consent to send mail.""
For requests for information from individual alumni (limited to cases where a reasonable reason is deemed to exist):
→ As a general rule, consent will be obtained from the person whose information is requested.
*If no specific notification is received, we will, as a general rule, handle the information as ""available for provision"" and ""consent to send mail.""
*In the following cases, information may be provided without the individual's consent:
When required by law.
When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local public body, or a person entrusted by them in executing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent may hinder the execution of such duties.
Regarding Updates to Alumni Information, Opt-out of Information Provision, and Opt-out of Mail Delivery
As a general rule, for those in the on-campus program, the guarantor's address, and for those in the correspondence course, the individual's own address will be registered upon graduation. If (1) there are changes or corrections to this information, (2) you do not wish for your information to be provided to alumni associations or Mita-kai, or (3) you wish to stop receiving mail, please notify the Alumni Center by submitting a form here.
Please note that even if you have opted out of ""mail delivery,"" important mail from Keio University, such as ballot papers for the Board of Councillors election, will generally still be sent to you.
