The 19th Annual Conference of the Japan Society for Applied Gerontology was held at our Juku's Hiyoshi Campus on November 9 and 10, 2024.

Kiyomi Tagami, a student in our graduate school's Doctoral Programs, was selected for the Excellent Presentation Award for her oral presentation titled "Characteristics of the Life Structure of Family Caregivers Before and After the Introduction of the Long-Term Care Insurance System: Utilization of Official Statistical Microdata at an On-site Facility."

In our graduate school's Medical Management degree program, Ms. Tagami has been analyzing the time use of family caregivers using data from the Survey on Time Use and Leisure Activities, continuing her work from the master's program. This research is part of a study on promoting the use of official microdata, in which our graduate school's professors Wataru Yamamoto and Keita Yamauchi have been involved. Partly as a result of this work, an on-site facility for official statistical microdata was established in the spring of 2023 within the SFC Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care Building, which houses the Graduate School of Health Management. Her research takes advantage of this environment and has been further developed.
