The paper by Reimi Kanda, a freelance announcer who completed our master's program in Sport Management in March 2021, titled "A Study on the Impact of League Suspensions and Cancellations Caused by the Spread of COVID-19 on Professional Basketball Players" (published in the *Journal of Sport Industry Studies*, vol. 31, no. 3), was selected for the 2021 Japanese Society of Sport Industry Encouragement Award and was presented at the 32nd General Meeting on July 9.
